LITTLE ITALY SAN JOSE BUSINESS DISTRICT

Pasquale - Italian Festival San Jose - Little Italy

Little Italy San Jose is located in the original settlement for Italian immigrants in Downtown  San Jose dating back to the 1880's. Little Italy San Jose 501c3 organization has led the resurgence of this historic Italian settlement which is also known as the River Street Historic District. Little Italy has spearheaded the installation of a Gateway Arch, and Piazza Piccola Italia with engraved bricks, the recruitment of authentic Italian businesses and has celebrated our Italian culture & heritage by hosting authentic Italian events such as the Little Italy Street Festival in October.  Little Italy San Jose acquired property through donations that will be transformed into the Little Italy San Jose Cultural Center & Museum that recently broke ground on November 6th, 2020.  Please support our continued fundraising efforts for our Cultural Center & Museum and visit our authentic Italian businesses.

PLANNED GIVING

Charitable gift planning is a special way to ensure that your legacy reflects the ideas and values you cherish most. By including the Little Italy San Jose Foundation in your estate planning, you will make a lasting contribution to the Little Italy San Jose Cultural Center & Museum and leave a meaningful legacy of your family or business for the Italian American community and the Little Italy San Jose business district.. There are a variety of options for making a planned gift to the Foundation. Your gift can be tailored to meet the future needs of your family, while also reducing state and federal income taxes.

A charitable gift should be discussed with your attorney and tax adviser to best meet the needs of your financial situation.

BEQUESTS

Consider designating the Little Italy San Jose Foundation, Inc. as a beneficiary in your will or trust. You can leave a specific amount, a specific asset, or a percentage of your residual estate. It is also possible to name the Foundation as a primary or secondary beneficiary of life insurance plans or qualified retirement plans, such as IRA, 401(k), or 403(b) plans. Retirement accounts are especially advantageous to leave to the Little Italy San Jose Foundation, as individuals inheriting these assets must pay ordinary income tax, or possibly, estate tax. Cash gifts can reduce your adjusted gross income by as much as 50 percent. All charitable bequests qualify for tax deductions.
